Google Pixel fans, get ready for a potential surprise! A recent leak hints at a more affordable Pixel experience, but is it too good to be true?
The upcoming Google Pixel smartphone might be arriving earlier than expected, and here's the real kicker: it could be more budget-friendly than its predecessor. This revelation has sparked excitement among tech enthusiasts, especially those who've been eagerly awaiting a more accessible Pixel.
According to the leak, the Pixel 10a could hit the Eurozone shelves as early as February 17, a significant leap ahead of the Pixel 9a's release date. But the real surprise is the price. The base model with 128 GB storage is rumored to start at a competitive €500 (~$580), with the 256 GB version reaching roughly €600 (~$699). That's a potential €50 (~$59) saving compared to the previous model, but will this price difference extend to other markets? Only time will tell.
But here's where it gets interesting: The new Pixel 10a is rumored to debut with a fresh palette of colors, excluding the Obsidian finish we've already seen. And this is the part most fans will notice: Google seems to be ditching the Indigo, Frost, and Lemongrass shades from the Pixel 10. Instead, they're reportedly introducing Berry, Lavender, and Fog, at least for the 128 GB model. But why the color switch-up?
Intriguingly, Google appears to be playing favorites with Obsidian, as the 256 GB variant will only be available in this color. This is despite the fact that the equivalent Pixel 9a offers an Iris color option. Lupin, the source of these leaks, also mentions that these colors will be accompanied by matching cases, a stylish touch for sure, priced at €20 (~$23).
What do you think about this potential price drop and color shake-up? Is it a welcome change or a step in the wrong direction? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let's discuss!
